{"id":71,"date":"2020-03-27T22:05:36","date_gmt":"2020-03-27T21:05:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.francescomagliano.com\/?page_id=71"},"modified":"2024-03-14T23:37:11","modified_gmt":"2024-03-14T22:37:11","slug":"qualifications","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.francescomagliano.com\/index.php\/qualifications\/","title":{"rendered":"Certificates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover aligncenter has-background-dim-10 has-background-dim\" style=\"background-image:url(http:\/\/www.francescomagliano.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/52F08765-8D41-4A59-8E7B-B1C7100D7F16_1_201_a-722x1024.jpeg);background-position:53% 10%;min-height:430px;aspect-ratio:unset;\"><div class=\"wp-block-cover__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-cover-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\"><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m now a MCA MASTER 500 (class 5) that includes the qualification of CHIEF MATE 3000.<\/p>\n<p>To get these tickets I&#8217;ve had to start from the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore, then upgrade to Yachtmaster Ocean.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve then took the required courses ?and sit the exam for the MCA MASTER 200.<\/p>\n<p>After the M200 I decided to broaden my knowledge and progress to the OFFICER OF WATCH 3000 which had required training and courses about ship construction, radar and navigation, crew management, stability, ECDIS and a difficult final oral exam.<\/p>\n<p>Although the OOW3000 (and the MASTER 200) would allow me to ?work on Red Ensign ?and Italian yachts of the size that I like and feel confident about, I wanted to take on the challenge of the Master 500 along with the more in depth courses about stability, nav&amp;radar, crew management, medical aid, business and law, celestial, seamanship and meteorology.
