About Me

I was born in Turin in 1974, an industrial city in the northwest of Italy, surrounded by the mountains and 150 Km away from the sea.My parents used to take me to the Italian Riviera to our holiday house where I started to love the sea practicing windsurf and dinghy sailing.

After few years working as computer technician, I wanted to follow my passion for the sea and I moved to the seaside.

The first job I’ve got was as a base manager for a small charter company where I’ve had the opportunity to learn how to maintain a yacht and to sail as a skipper. At the same time I’ve got involved in the local racing circuitAfter two years I’ve changed for a Jeanneau dealer where I was involved in more complex jobs as rigger, electronic technician and after sale service. I kept racing in winter and skipper during the summer. As my experience grew, I felt the need to sail farther and more professional

While scraping a yacht bottom during a yard service in winter 2004, I’ve met an experienced Swan owner who was looking for a deckhand/mate for his 6 months cruise in the Med. When I’ve heard his plan, the thrill of sailing and travel hit me. I sailed with him for three seasons during which I’ve learnt how to run a proper sailing yacht.

Since then I’ve never stopped sailing. Over the years I’ve sailed about 100.000 miles (5 Atlantic Crossing and 1 Pacific), on different sailing yacht ranging from 55ft to 95ft. Between 2009 and 2013, I’ve sailed around the world. The most important and formative of all experiences, not only professionally but also personally.

In my spare time I enjoy cycling, skiing and cooking
